I asked Chat-GPT to write me a poem about road investment

Is Artificial Intellgence influenced by past data? Is this going to shape our future? I asked Chat GPT to “Write me a poem about road investment”. This is what it said:

The road stretches out before us,
A ribbon of asphalt and dust.
A path to adventure, a gateway to growth,
A vital investment, worth its weight in gold.
With sturdy bridges and smooth pavement,
We can travel safely and with ease.
No more potholes or washed-out lanes,
Just smooth sailing and a steady breeze.
But it’s not just about convenience,
It’s about our economy and our fate.
Good roads mean more jobs,
And a stronger, more connected state.
From the mountains to the coast,
Our roads will connect us all.
A network of progress, a symbol of hope,
A sound investment, standing tall.
So let us invest in our roads,
And watch our nation thrive.
For a strong infrastructure,
Is the backbone of a great life.”

Oh. My. Goodness. Are you afraid of AI after that? No bias there then.

So I asked it “is road building good for our future?”. It said:

“Road building can have positive effects on a community’s future. Good roads can improve access to education, healthcare, and job opportunities. They can also increase the efficiency of goods transportation, which can boost economic development and create jobs. Additionally, roads can provide access to remote areas, which can improve living standards and help to preserve natural resources. However, it is important to consider the potential negative effects of road building as well, such as the displacement of communities, destruction of natural habitats, and increased carbon emissions from transportation. Therefore, it is important to plan and build roads in a sustainable and equitable manner, taking into account the specific needs and context of each community.”

Then why the hell didn’t ‘you’ factor that into your poem?

AI – where are we heading humans?

The image is generated by DALL-E the AI sister of Chat-GPT. I asked it to give me an “oil painting of a climate change future for highways in 2050”.
