I’m sick of climate science. And climate activists. Between them they seem to have created a cult that has spread like a virus. Their alarmism is a noise that is disrupting our way of life and seeking to cause concern where it is just not warranted.

Let’s be honest, we’ve done very well out of the discovery and use of fossil fuels. They are a gift from God. They have helped us prosper economically and caused standards of living to rise. How naive to suggest that such use should now be curtailed – what a gross encroachment on people’s lives and their freedom of choice – choice that the good people running the world’s oil and gas companies merely seek to support.

And don’t get me started on the suggestion that meat is the problem. Why do you think we have teeth, and when did you last see a fit and healthy vegan?

CO2 makes up a minute part of the atmosphere – a few hundred parts PER MILLION! How would the plants that we supposedly need to worry about because of biodiversity survive without it?

It unfuriates me that the words ’emergency’ and ‘crisis’ keep getting used. I’ve heard them for several years now and nothing much seems to have changed. We’ve survived a pandemic and human ingenuity just keeps amazing us about what is possible. If there’s such an emergency, how come spring has just sprung again, we’re still putting satellites in space and government’s are wisely investing in carbon capture and storage?

It makes me wonder, frankly, what the point of so-called experts is. Thank goodness we have level-headed politicians with great experience of running successful businesses, committed to supporting economic growth in countries around the world. I read in one of Rupert’s papers the other day that climate activists are stoking up a war on the motorist. How shocking. You try getting to the airport on a bus!

I once remember a craze on Twitter where to alert people that you were being held captive (without your captors knowing) you had to Tweet something that was utterly uncharacteristic of you. Sadly, the post above would not be suitable for many, many people out there from what I continue to see on this platform and elsewhere.
